—Download the NI TDMS EXCEL Add-in from the link below. The file is an ISO file, and you need ISO-read software to open it. Download and install this TDMS add-in. Then, you can read TDMS database files in MS Excel.
- On root “C:\HYDRO TEST” there are TDMS files for each pressure station. You can copy these files some where to have backup.
- Using TDMS Excel add-in, you can open these files in MS EXCEL.
- On second page of this EXCLE file, there are two column showing the time stamp and pressure value that is recorded for that specific station.
- Interval between each record can be set in hydro pressure software setting page as below:

The “Log interval” is in seconds and showing the time between each record of this database file. dont set this value to much low because for long term tests will increase log file size. default set is 10 seconds.
—If you want to record the log from the beginning, you can delete the TDMS file in the root “C: HYDRO TEST” or cut it and save it somewhere. In this way, when you start the hydrostatic pressure software, it will start logging automatically and will create the file automatically.
- Don’t forget that the graphs on each pressure station in the software are only for monitoring 100,000 points of data records. meaning 100,000 seconds can be seen on those graphs. If it stops showing the graph, you can easily right-click on the graph and choose “Clear Chart”. IT will start showing the pressure again. Don’t worry, logging of the database will automatically log data without stopping.
